art museum visit

Today I visited the Jundt Art Museum on the Gonzaga campus to see an exhibit of Faith Ringgold's work. She's an African American artist who's made story quilts and soft sculpture; she works in other media and writes stories, as well. (Her website is www.faithringgold.com -- one of the quilts in the exhibit is at http://www.faithringgold.com/ringgold/d09.htm .

One of the soft sculptures made me laugh out loud -- I knew who this was before I read the description:
