Some of you may have seen our local wildfires on the national news. We do not live in that area, and are okay.
Chris and I saw the smoke about the time that the fire started, and were horrified -- it was terribly windy and dry, and we knew that that area is full of Ponderosa pines, which can go up in flames in seconds. Ross and I love to hike in that area (Dishman Hills), so it's been very sad to watch it burn. Fortunately, no one died or was seriously injured. It still smells like smoke when the wind is in the right direction, and I suspect that may be for days to come.
